ENDORSEMENTS from my family

Because I currently work for Boone County, I will not be requesting/receiving endorsements from my co-workers. So, instead, We decided to see what our children have to say about me as the “money man.” Please enjoy these heartfelt “endorsements’ straight from the ones who know me best, our 9 children. Why would they think I’m the “money man?” Because we run a tight ship at our house. Each child has a strict birthday budget and Christmas budget. Some kids have chosen to invest in stocks/bonds, some have Roth IRAs, while others spend every cent they get as if it’ll burn a hole in their pocket if they don’t spend it right this second! Through it all, I keep track of every cent. I’m incredibly organized and strict, while also giving them the freedom to choose how to spend their budget. Each child has very different needs and desires. Not just the kids who are closest to me. Being fair and just allows peace that stifles drama. Well, most of the drama. Most are teenagers so drama is expected. In the midst of it all, as crazy as it is, I take pride in making time for each child individually. Making sure they are heard and their needs are met. We even have family meetings with the kids to give information simultaneously and spark conversations. These processes transfer easily to the workplace. Everyone has needs and desires. They should all be taken into consideration. The plan is to have funds allotted in a manner that fulfills needs while hopefully having some left over for niceties. It’s all a delicate balance. One that I would be proud to provide for our community. Thank you for your time and consideration!
